UW Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra / Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble
Who Are We:
We are the University of Washington's Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra / Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble. Why the two names? Because the Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble was a music department sponsored big band led by Joe Santiago. The Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble is a Registered Student Organization that has absorbed what is left of Joe's ensemble which disbanded after his guest residency was finished at UW. The Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble has it's own website.
