I am now offering private or group music lessons in Seattle, WA!
I specialize in Afro-Cuban Jazz and rudimental percussion, but I also teach basic musical concepts as well, such as rhythms, phrasing, structure vs. improvisation, etc.
These are not your
regular music lessons!!
But, I can teach you the basics like:
- reading music
- reading rhythms
- learning how to become a better sight reader
- hearing things you never heard before in your favorite music
- learning how to break down different elements of music that you like
Or also, specialized things like:
- learning drum rudiments (paradiddles, paradiddle-diddles, flams, rolls, etc...)
- learning drum techniques (German grip, French grip, Traditional Grip)
- learning conga (hand percussion techniques)
- distinguishing between different styles of music (e.g. cha-cha-cha, mambo, rhumba, danzon, son, bomba, plena, bossa nova, samba)
...and much more.
My Rates
Here are my rates:
Single Session (at my place): $30 per hour, $20 per half hour.
Single Session (at place of your choosing): $35 per hour, $25 per half hour.
Weekly Sessions (at my place): $20 per hour lesson, $15 per half hour.
Weekly Sessions (at place of your choosing): $25 per hour lesson, $20 per half hour.
Group Session of 3-5 people (at my place): $40 per hour, $35 per 45 mins.
Group Session of 3-5 people (at place of your choosing): $45 per hour, $40 per 45 mins.
Group Session of 5-7 people (at my place): $50 per hour, $45 per 45 mins.
Group Session of 5-7 people (at place of your choosing): $55 per hour, $50 per 45 mins.
Free coffee/tea comes with lessons at my place!! :)
